As most of our clients wish to remain anonymous due to the nature of dealing with Government agencies of other Countries, we have deliberately kept detailed information on this page to a minimum. Instead we have provided an outline of what we can do. If you are serious about Military style training you may contact us to discuss your specific requirements. We shall put together a proposal for your consideration and our mutual discussion.
We are the only Australian Civilian organisation operating independently who is able to provide all resources and training for Military flying purposes, with a Civil approval from the regulating aviation body of Australia (CASA). We have a proven track record for Military training in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Military School comes under the same umbrella as our Civil School and as such has all the same approvals and course outcomes. The key differences are the strict requirements of the client and the ethos, values and methods which are utilised in order to train the pilots in a military style and manner to a very high standard.
Military organisations have particular values, ethos and knowledge which they require their people to develop and maintain. We have a select group of ex-military instructors whose mission is to exceed these standards and outcomes beyond those of the clients requirements.
Our Head of Safety Quality & Training Unit who overseas our Military training is Lieutenant Colonel Kim Jorgensen (Ret) who in a past life commanded the School of Army Aviation for the Australian Defence Force, heads a team of dedicated and standardised instructors who are able to impart everything required in a Military style course.
We offer a full in house theory solution, detailed reporting and grading, assessments, wings graduation and streaming for Reconnaissance, Attack, Air mobile, Air Transport or other support roles.

Becker Helicopters is fully approved to provide abinitio, and advanced training to a universal military standard as used by the United States, Australian, British and other Western Defence Forces.
Critically, we are able to complete training within a tighter time line and within a smaller budget, free from bureaucratic restraints and in ideal training areas that are uncongested and untainted by urban demands.
We provide Basic abinitio training, navigation training, full instrument training, night unaided flight training, night vision goggle training and basic lead-in tactical training such as formation and terrain flight operations. These courses can be done in a combination of single or multi engine helicopters. Additionally, we can provide custom courses in multi engine conversions, SAR/EMS, external loads including hook and hoist operations, aircrewman training, HUET and survival courses.
Becker Helicopters is currently training in excess of 40 students per year for military organisations and is able to expand to meet any clients requirements based on a solid contract.
We are also able to provide a vetting process to assist the client in selecting appropriate pilot or aircrewman candidates.

Because the majority of our current clients come from non English speaking countries, we have a full English language program at a dedicated offsite campus that will allow a student to achieve an IELTS 5.5 minimum prior to commencing flight training. On top of this we have also developed a specific Aviation English language program that supplements the basic English lessons.

We are able to provide housing for our students in comfortable 2 and 3 bedroom self contained units. As we are an accredited Registered Training Organisation we are able to issue student visas with an outcome of the course being either a Civil licence, a Cert IV in Aviation or a Diploma in Aviation.

A key element in maintaining interest, discipline, instructor/student relationships and student welfare is our extracurricular activities.
We recommend a weekly PT (physical training) session with our own PT instructor. This fosters communication skills and breaks the culture barrier experienced by both the trainee and the instructor. We also encourage other team building activities which we participate in, this includes fencing, soccer, netball, social gatherings, ropes courses, survival courses, horse riding, and water skiing to name but a few.
These activities help the student express themselves in English and help our instructors evaluate which students may need additional support in a team environment prior to commencing flight operations.

Military style training is a very specialised field. It is not just a simple matter of training people within a civilian school. It is a matter of structuring a course in consultation with the client that best suits their needs and then fostering the same standards, ethos and knowledge of the client during the course and striving to exceed their expectations.
