|
| Trial Instructional
Flight (TIF) |
 |
| Delivery: In-house |
Duration: 30 minutes
Pre-Requisites: None
Description:
The Trial Instructional Flight will introduce you to the helicopter. This
is both a teaser and a
tester flight. Firstly we will tease you by having some fun and show you
what a helicopter can
do, secondly you get to test the waters and have a go and see if a flying
career is going to be
for you. The TIF starts with you watching a 40minute DVD briefing on
how a helicopter flies,
what the controls do, and what you will be expected to do. Remember this
flight is a hands
on experience. Then we take you for a 30 minute flight where you actually
manipulate the
controls in forward flight and in the hover, after that we demonstrate
some low flying and
show you what happens when the engine stops

| R22 and light helicopter
safety course check ride |
 |
| Delivery: In-house or at your location
in helicopter of your choice. |
| Duration: 1-2 hours over 1 day
Pre-Requisites: Must have a type endorsement in helicopter to be checked
out in prior
to the check ride
Description:
Some insurance policies require that you have attended at least every
2 years a helicopter
safety course and done a check ride. Because of the problems of distance
in Australia we
have put together a correspondence safety course ground school. The flight
check however
is a very important part of the process and is often left out. In my opinion
80% of what can
save your bacon can be passed onto you by a good check pilot while doing
a safety course
flight check. There are two options, either you come to us and we do the
check ride in our
helicopter, or we come to you and do the check ride in your helicopter.
This will incur extra
expenses such as airfares, accommodation and a minimum daily rate however
if you are a
Company with several pilots it can work out to be cost effective.
